Auto Insurance Has You Covered!

Your Fault or No Fault?

Your PIP Insurance Has You Covered!

A minimum of $15,000 PIP is included in every Oregon auto insurance policy.

What is Personal Injury & Protection (PIP) Car Insurance?

If you are in a car accident, regardless of who’s fault it is, PIP can help cover medical expenses for you AND your injured passengers.

Medical expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency services & hospital care
  • Doctors’ visits (medical doctor, neurologist, ENT, dentist, chiropractor, physical therapy, massage)
  • Medication, crutches, wheelchairs

Additional benefits of Oregon PIP include:

  1. If you can’t work due to the accident for at least 14 days, PIP will cover 70% of lost wages, up to a maximum payment of $3,000 per month and a total maximum payment period of 52 weeks.
  2. If you don’t work but can no longer perform services at home, such as a stay-at-home parent, PIP will pay up to $30 a day for you to hire someone for essential services, up to 52 weeks.
  3. Parents of minor children can get $25 a day for child care, up to $750 total.
  4. PIP applies even if you’re not driving. For example, if you’re injured after getting hit by a car while walking, your PIP can help pay for your injuries.
  5. Your PIP can help cover your health insurance deductible.
  6. If you pass away in a car accident, your PIP may help replace your lost income for your surviving dependents.
  7. PIP also pays up to $5,000 for funeral expenses.

Because all PIP claims last 2 years (from the date of the injury), we recommend a 100k PIP policy. Generally, it’s only an extra ~$10/mo to upgrade.

Their Fault?

Their Liability Insurance has you covered!

A minimum of $25,000 Liability is included in every Oregon auto insurance policy.

What is Liability Car insurance?

If “they” are responsible for the car accident, their liability insurance can help you. Liability helps pay your medical expenses for any passengers in your car.

Medical expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency services & hospital care
  • Doctors’ visits (medical doctor, neurologist, ENT, dentist, chiropractor, physical therapy, massage)
  • Medication, crutches, wheelchairs

Additional benefits of Liability include:

  1. Lost Income: If you injure another person in an accident and they need time off from work for ongoing care, liability can help pay their lost wages.
  2. Legal fees: Liability can help pay for your legal defense fees if you cause an accident and the other driver files a claim against you.
  3. Pain and suffering: Liability can help compensate injured passengers from the other car if you cause an accident.
  4. Funeral costs: If you cause an accident and a passenger in the other car dies, this coverage can help pay for their funeral expenses.

We recommend a 250k/500k liability policy (250k – 1 person injury | 500k 2+ person injury).
