Want to know how upper cervical chiropractic works in the most simplistic way possible?
If so, you are in the right place.
Concept: If you take this rubber band and wrap it tightly around your wrist, what do you think will happen to your fingers over time?
They could start to turn white, loose sensation, you may feel some pain.
Eventually, you’d address the problem.
You could start by rubbing the fingers to stimulate blood flow, you could move them around to increase blood flow, you could take a pill to cover up the pain, or, you could ignore the symptoms completely, let the fingers die off and replace them.
You could START by simply removing the rubber band.
Now of course you may still need other interventions at times, but wouldn’t it make the most sense to remove the rubber band first to then see how the fingers respond?
This is what upper cervical chiropractors are trained to do.
And although the rubber band is a nice analogy, what it really represents is the top bone in the neck shifting out of its normal position.
When this happens, it places pressure upon the brain-stem and stretches out the surrounding nerves that travel throughout the rest of your body.
This is why the upper neck is the region we ALWAYS recommend starting with.
